Raymond I. Bland

April 11, 1905 – Mary 19, 1962

Raymond I. Bland, 57, a former auto mechanic, died at 1:30am today in Osteopathic Hospital.  He resided with his daughter, Mrs. Rex. Williams, 715 Lindsey St.

He was born on April 22, 1905, in Marshall County but lived most o his life in South Bend.  He was married on March 1, 1924, in St Joseph MI, to Mary Ann Sappenfield. 

Surviving are his wife; a son, Jack R. Bland, of South Bend; his daughter; two brothers Allen Bland, of South Bend, and Glenn Bland, of Lake City FL; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Brinson, Mrs. Ruth Herran, Mrs. Lloyd Crawford and Mrs. Jacob Triplet, all of South Bend, and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7pm today.  Rev August Stork, pastor of the Lowell Heights Methodist Church, of which he was a member, will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
