MISHAWAKA - Robert A. Blake, 65, of
St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Mishawaka, died Feb. 18 in Bay
Front Medical Center, St. Petersburg. Mr. Blake retired in 1992
from the South Bend Waste Water Department after 17 years of
service. He was born Dec. 30, 1929, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and
lived in South Bend until 1992.
On Sept. 25, 1993, in Mishawaka, he married
Anna Katona. She survives with a stepdaughter, Sheri McClurg
of Mishawaka; four stepsons, Joseph, Keith and Pat Sauer,
all of Mishawaka, and Tom Dehlinger of Wilmington, N.C.; 10
grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn Pletcher of South Bend
and Diane Rudisel of Terre Haute, Ind.; and a brother,
Richard of South Bend. He was a veteran of the Navy.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday
in St. Andrew's United Church of Christ, Mishawaka. Cremation has
taken place. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. There will be
no visitation. National Cremation Society, Largo, Fla., handled
arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of
St. Joseph County Inc. or the church.
