Isabelle R. Blair, 90, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away at 1:46 a.m. on Monday, December 28 in the Valley View Nursing Home, Elkhart. She was born on February 1, 1908 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Frank R. and Mildred B. (Gibbard) Ferguson.

On January 10, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan, Isabelle married Samuel J. Blair. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1985. Also preceding her in death was a son, Robert Blair on October 16, 1993.

Surviving are six grandchildren, Sherry Hill of Granger, Janet Lanning, Debra Madou, and Kathy Manuel, all of Mishawaka, Beverly Kahlenbeck of Lillington, N.C., and Frank Blair of Osceola; seven great grandchildren, Stacie Lanning, Christan and Joe Manuel, all of Mishawaka, Jason and Robin Kahlenbeck of Lillington, N.C., Elaina Blair of Calhoun, Ga., and Samantha Blair of Osceola.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka, with Rev. Ervin Mize officiating.

Her cremains will be laid to rest in the Bay Pines Veterans Cemetery in Florida where her late husband is intered.
