LAKEVILLE - Opal Marie Bishop, 99, of Lakeville, IN,
passed away Monday, April 16, 2007. She was born November 22,
1907, in Twelve Mile, IN, to William and Gertrude Kesling.
She married Frank C. Bishop on October 17,
1925. He preceded her in death on August 13, 1977. Opal was a
homemaker and a piano teacher in Lakeville. She was a member of
Lakeville United Methodist Church where she served as church
organist for over 30 years. She was also a member of Lakeville
United Methodist Women and their Ernestine Circle. She was Past
Worthy Matron and an active member of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughters, Wilma
(John) Morris, Indianapolis, and Norma Rhodes,
Merrillville. Other survivors include her sisters, Elizabeth Busteed
and Mary Luke; grandchildren, Frank (Debbie) Morris, Amy
(Terry Joyce) Morris, Betsy (John Lesch) Morris and Sally (Paul
Bryan) Morris Bryan; great-grandchildren, Nathan and
Andrew Morris, Amanda and Keenan Joyce, Allison and
Caroline Lesch, and Anna and Samuel Bryan; and many nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.
Friday, April 20, 2007, in Lakeville United Methodist Church, 610
N. Michigan St., Lakeville, IN. Burial will follow at Southlawn
Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to
8 p.m. today, April 19, 2007, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S.
Michigan St., Lakeville, IN, where an Eastern Star service will
be held at 7:30 p.m., and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday in the
church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeville
United Methodist Church.
