Betty Lou Billisitz

Betty Lou Billisitz, 74, passed away at 11:15 p.m. Monday, June 10th, in the Saint Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, Ind. Betty was born Aug. 2, 1927, to the late Lester and Ethel (Middleton) Head in Granger, Ind.

On April 3, 1948, as Betty Head, she married John Billisitz, who died on Dec. 22, 1996. She retired from Raco. Betty is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Peppers of South Bend; sons, J.J. Billisitz of South Bend and Pat (Theresa) Billisitz of Buchanan, Mich.; her brother, Charles (Georgia) Head of Baldwin, Mich.; and by her sister, Sandy (Dan) Taylor of Elkhart, Ind. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Angela (Thomas) Faulkner, Thomas Young, William Billisitz, Sarah Billisitz, Aanika Jaggi and Sean Billisitz; and by two great-grandchildren, John Thomas Faulkner and Macey Young.

Visitation for Betty will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 14th, with Rev. Terry Fisher officiating in the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
