SOUTH BEND - Dale R. Biggs, 78, of West Ford Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 6 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, in Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 24, 1920, in Roann, Ind., and lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Biggs retired from the A.M. General Corporation. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 9820.

He was married on July 8, 1945, in South Bend, to Mary Morozowski, who preceded him in death in 1988. Mr. Biggs is survived by a daughter, Marcia (Ron) DeLee of South Bend; two sons, Rick (Sherry) Biggs of South Bend and Darryl (Pam) Biggs of North Liberty, Ind.; six grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Koch of Rochester, Ind., and Delores Iholts of South Bend; and by a brother, Robert Biggs of Indianapolis, Ind.

Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Services will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
