John U.C. Biesbrook

MISHAWAKA - John U.C. Biesbrook, 81, of West Eighth Street, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday in Countryside Place. Mr. Biesbrook retired in 1974 from Uniroyal Plastics Co. after 34 years of service. He was born Aug. 5, 1914, in Mishawaka. On March 5, 1947, in Mishawaka, he married Hazel Whetstone. She died in 1985. He is survived by a son, Devon of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Elsie DeVliegher of Vero Beach, Fla.; and a brother, Henry of Mishawaka. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of B.K. Club and St. Bavo's Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Hahn Funeral Home, where a wake will be at 3:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
