MISHAWAKA - Anna Marie Biesbroeck, 88, of Scottsdale, Arizona,
formerly of Mishawaka, passed away after a brief illness on
Sunday morning at the Sherman Hospice Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Anna Marie was born in Webster City, Iowa, to Aurelio and Sylvia
(Paglierani) Frisoni before moving to Mishawaka at the age of
four. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward in 2005,
her parents, and her brother, Ugo. She had married Edward in St.
Bavo Catholic Church on September 30, 1943. Surviving are her
daughter, Emily Louise (George Jr.) Tremblay of Scottsdale,
Arizona; two grandchildren, Mark E. Tremblay (Pamela) of
Sharpsburg, Georgia, and David A. Tremblay (Michele) of San
Clemente, California; two great-granddaughters, Trinity Ava and
Olivia Hope; and a brother, Delio Frisoni (Ann) of Mishawaka.
Anna Marie worked at Bendix in Mishawaka for 15 years followed by
Wheelabrator, 15 years, before retiring from the Indiana Toll
Road in 1974. She was a sacristan at St. Bavo Catholic Church,
and a member of Delta Theta Chi Sorority and the Ladies of the
Elks in South Bend. Her greatest passion and volunteer efforts
revolved around the American Cancer Society, having
initiated the Reach To Recovery Program in Mishawaka in 1971. In
1996 she received Indiana's Terese Lasser Award for Outstanding
Service. She was active helping area cancer patients for 31
years. Anna Marie was a hard worker, loving wife, mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be missed by
all who knew and loved her. Family and friends may visit from 4
to 7 PM today in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Thursday in St.
Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Barry England
officiating. Entombment will follow at Fairview Cemetery
Mausoleum, Mishawaka. Contributions in memory of Anna Marie may
be made to St. Bavo Catholic Church, 511 W. 7th St., Mishawaka,
