Mrs. Robert C. Bickel

Mrs. Robert C. Bickel, 60, of 1824 E Calvert St., South Bend, formerly of Mishawaka, was dead on arrival at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend, where she was taken by South Bend city ambulance after becoming ill in her home.  Born in Granger on Feb. 2, 1912, she had lived all her life in the South Bend-Mishawaka area.  As Ruth A. Sones she married Robert C. Bickel in Mishawaka on Jan. 17, 1959.

He survives in addition to two sons, Preston Lee Holmes of South Bend and Wallace J. Holmes of Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs. Winifred Avery.
