Mrs. Joseph M. Bickel
A resident of Mishawaka 55 years, Mrs.
Joseph M. Bickel, aged 71, of 316 West Third street, died at 10
p.m. Thursday after a short illness. Mrs. Bickel was born
in Big Rapids, Mich., Feb. 8, 1877, and moved here from that
city. She married Mr. Bickel in St. Josephs Catholic
church Oct. 4, 1898.
Mrs. Bickel was a charter member of the
Rosary society of St. Josephs Catholic church and also a
charter member of the Womens Catholic Order of Foresters.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, William Jay, and Louis A.
Bickel, of Mishawaka and Bernard J. Bickel, of South Bend; four
daughters, Miss Louise Bickel, Mrs. Bert Dygulski and Mrs.
Harold Roberts, of Mishawaka; and Mrs. John L. Van Der
Bosch, of South Bend; six grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs.
Josephine Throp, of Big Rapids, and Mrs. Lena Sullivan,
of Mishawaka. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Friends
may call at the residence Saturday until the time of the funeral
services.

Mrs. Joseph M Bickel
Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph M. Bickel,
aged 71, who died Thursday night in her home at 316 West Third
street, will be held at 10:15 a.m. Monday in St. Josephs
Catholic church. Rev. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, will
officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.
The Womans Catholic Order of Foresters will meet at the
residence at 7:30 p.m. to recite the rosary, and the Rosary
society of the church will meet in the home at 7 p.m. Sunday, to
also recite the rosary. Pallbearers will be Robert
Sullivan, Herbert Vanderbosch, Lloyd Ek, Clem Dygulski, Frank
Parr and Edward Kowalski.

12877, and moved here from that city. She married Joseph Matthew
Bickel in St. Joseph Catholic Church on Oct. 4, 1898. She was a
charter member of the Rosary Society of St. Joseph Catholic
Church. Surviving are her husband; three sons, William Jay and
Louis A. Bickel, both of Mishawaka, and Bernard A. Bickel of
South Bend; four daughters, Miss Louise Bickel, Mrs. Bert Dygulski
