Marguerite I. Bickel, 91, of West Jefferson Blvd., Mishawaka, passed away at her daughter's home on Hamilton Street, Granger, on January 3rd, 2005, at 2:32 p.m.
She was born January 3rd, 1914, in Mishawaka, to Frank and Lucy (Sims) Havens, who both preceded her in death. As Marguerite I. Havens, she married Donald P. Bickel, December 24, 1941, In Mishawaka. He died July 14, 1990.
Mrs. Bickel was employed by South Bend Toy Corp. as a Power Sewing Machine Operator until her retirement in 1968. She was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church in Mishawaka, The Eastern Star, Avalon Grotto and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Avalon Grotto.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Thomas) McCall of Granger and Carol (Glenn) Nelson of Mishawaka; her grandchildren, Tim Holt of Elkhart, Tony (Karen) Holt of Osceola, Ken (Tina) Kaiser of Indianapolis, Steve McCall of Kalamazoo, Tom McCall of Warsaw, Indiana, Scott (Corrina) McCall of Goshen, Heather McCall, David McCall and Matt McCall, all of Granger, Eric (Jodi) Nelson and Devon (Jackie) Nelson, both of Mishawaka; her great-grandchildren, Nathan Holt and Josh Holt of Elkhart, Kaiden Kaiser of Indianapolis, Kimber Nelson, Taylor Nelson, Brandon Nelson and Ethan Nelson, all of Mishawaka.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Havens and Forrest Havens.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Albright United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Ingle Sr. officiating. Burial will follow the services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends will be received from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka.
