Mrs. Lena (Rodts) Bickel, 75, of 1646 Gordon Drive, died Tuesday morning in the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianaspolis, following as extended illness. She was born on Dec. 1, 1905 in Lakeville, and had lived in this area all of her life. She retired in 1968 from the Bendix Corporation. Surviving are four daughters; Mrs. Norman (Shirley) Mitcherska and Mrs. Donna Marvin of South Bend, Mrs. Roscoe (Mary) Geyer of Bedford, Ind., and Mrs. Nick (Doris) Dean of New Carlisle; a son, Johnny Smith of South Bend’ 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Marcel (Erma) Cooreman of New Carlisle.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home in Mishaka. Services will be Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
