Kenneth D. Bickel, 62, of Odessa, Fla., formerly of Osceola, Ind., passed away suddenly at 1:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, in University Hospital in Tampa, Fla.
Kenneth had lived in the area for over 40 years before retiring in 1995 to Tampa.
He was born on March 5, 1938 in Coalmont, Ind., to Walter and Ethel Bickel, who both have preceded him in death.
On May 11, 1957, in Mishawaka, Ind., Kenneth married Reta L. Crisler. A loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife Reta; two daughters, Debbie Hall of Palm Beach, Fla., and Darla Beckwith, of Tampa; one sister, Jean Easton, of Mishawaka; two grandchildren, Shaun and Cristi; one great grandchild, Ryan; and surrogate pappy to Zach and Kyle Kampsen.
Kenneth was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Elkhart, and worked for Dick's Texaco for 5 years, Princess Homes for 10 years, Hudson Building Supply in Elkhart for 17 years and had worked for Gordan Chevrolet in Tampa for 4 years.
Services will be Monday, July 31, at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Richard M. Etner officiating.
Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, in Osceola, IN. Friends may call Sunday, July 30, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North.
