Dorothy F. Bickel

Nov. 16, 1909 - April 23, 2002

Dorothy Francis Bickel, 92, of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away Tuesday morning, April 23, in Fountainview Place of Mishawaka.

Dorothy was born on Nov. 16, 1909, in Mishawaka, to Nicholas and Mary Francis (Marsh) Bickel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Mary Bickel; five brothers, Joseph, Charles, George, Robert and Donald Bickel; and by three sisters, Lilas Riffle, DonneBelle Britton and Gladys Havens.

She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church of Mishawaka, and was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship. Dorothy was employed at Uniroyal for 45 years.

Dorothy is survived by seven nieces, Glenadine Wiesweaver, Elsie Ramsey, Barbara Hoffmann, Nancy McCall, Carol Nelson, Linda Byrd and Connie Smith; four nephews, David Bickel, Ray Bickel, Roy Bickel and James Bickel; along with many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, April 25, in the funeral chapel, with Rev. Dr. M. Gregory Timmons officiating. Burial is to follow at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Mishawaka or to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
