David C. Bickel, 37, 920 Royal Vinyard. Died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday in his residence after an illness of three years. He was an assistant treasurer for Associates Corp. of North America eight years. Born on Sept. 26, 1946 in Gary, he lived here most of his life. On May 29, 1976 he married Christine S. Stypczynski, who survives with two sisters, Miss Marilyn Bickel of Tampa, Fla., and Ms. Sharon Wamsley of South Bend, and his mother Mrs. Dorothy Reed of Venice, Fla.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Rev. Charles Felton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the church. Mr. Bickel graduated from Ball State University, Muncie, and was a Vietnam veteran. Memorial contributions may be made to the medical oncology fund at Indiana University School of medicine.
