GRANGER - Rita G. Bice, 41, of 50340 Herbert St., died about 6:10 p.m. Thursday in the home of her mother on Burdette Street, Mishawaka, after an illness. Mrs. Bice was a kitchen aide at Eddy's Steak Shed. She was born Dec. 23, 1952, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On June 27, 1981, in Mishawaka, as Rita G. Nard, she married Rick Bice. He survives with a stepdaughter, Heather Bice of Goshen; a stepson, Eric of Goshen; seven stepgrandchildren; her mother, Emma Nard of Mishawaka; four sisters, Glenda Frederick, Wanda McClish, and Tammy Nard, all of Mishawaka, and JoAnn McCullough of Granger; and a brother, Larry Nard of South Bend. A stepson, Harry Bice, died in 1992.
