Naomi Bice

Naomi Bice, 99, of Fir Road, Granger,
Ind., passed away at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18, in the home of
her son. Naomi was born on Oct. 12, 1901, in LaGrange County,
Ind., to Ora and Sarah (Christman) Blanchard, who both
have preceded her in death.
On Sept. 15, 1928, as Naomi Blanchard
she married Leland D. Bice. Leland passed away on May 12, 1968.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Loran Blanchard in
1961. She retired from Uniroyal in 1964 after 32 years of
service. She is survived by a son, Eldon E. (Dorothy) Bice of
Granger; four grandchildren, Luann Stroup, Paul Bice, Sue
Bice Briones, and Ken Brice; three great-grandchildren,
Stephen Stroup, Rachell Briones and Rebecca Briones; two
great-great-grandchildren, Phillip Stroup and Ethan Stroup; three
sisters, Ruth Junkett of Tennessee, Lavada Snow of
Mendon, Mich., and Mildred Cole of Elkhart, Ind.; and a
brother, William Blanchard of Osceola, Ind.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 20,
in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka,
Ind., where friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services.
Rev. Donald MacMillan will officiate the services, with burial
following at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Memorial
