Elza Gene ''Buster'' Bice, 61, of 54789 Beech Road, Osceola, Ind., died at 10:40 p.m. Monday, July 8, at his residence of natural causes, after an illness. He was born Jan. 11, 1935, in Mishawaka, Ind., and was a lifetime area resident. Mr. Bice was the son of Dorcy L. and Pearl M. (Smith) Bice. They both preceded him in death.

Mr. Bice was married to the former Nancy Barber and she does survive along with a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Pamela Bice of Osceola; and a daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Doug LaPorte of Dowagiac, Mich. He is also survived by five grandchildren and a sister, Hattie Branscom of Mishawaka.

Funeral services will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Ind., on Friday, July 12, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Stephanie Morath of the Pleasant Valley United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. Memorials in memory of Mr. Bice may be given to the American Lung Association.
