Marian Bezi

Marian Bezi, 86, of South Main Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 12:10 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, in Saint Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka.

Mrs. Bezi was born on Feb. 13, 1914, in Plati, Italy, as the daughter of the late Frank and Francis (Catanzarite) Zirille. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

On March 2, 1935, in St. Monica's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, as the former Marian Zirille, she married Domenico Bezi, who preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1972.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Jeanne) Bezi and Frank Bezi, both of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Niedbalski, Mike Bezi, Jennifer (John) Jacobs, Monique (George) Gergis, Stefanie (Russ) Buysse, Stacie Bezi and Sherry Bezi; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Sergi of Indianapolis; and by a sister-in-law, Anne Zirille.

Mrs. Bezi was a member of St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, and was a member of the De Amici's Club Ladies Auxiliary, Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 12, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 West 8th Street, Mishawaka, where a Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Bezi may be made to St. Bavo 2000 Project, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
