Jeanne M. Bezi, 69, of Mishawaka, passed away after an illness during the evening hours of Tuesday, June 6, in Hospice House, South Bend.
Jeanne was born on June 1, 1937, in Belgium, to the late Frank and Jeannette (DeLannoit) Monseur.
On June 8, 1957, as the former Jeanne Monseur in Mishawaka, she married Daniel F. Bezi. Surviving Jeanne is her husband of 48 years. Also surviving are five children, Jessica (Chris) Niedbalski of Granger, Michael Bezi of Mishawaka, Jennifer (John) Jacobs of Mishawaka, Monique (George) Gergis of South Bend and Stefanie (Russell) Buysse of Mishawaka; eight grandchildren, Megan Plummer, Heather LaPara, Krystal Alwine, Alexandra Gergis, Daniel Gergis, Tyler Jacobs, Madeleine Buysse and Isabella Buysse; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Clementine Walther of Dennisport, MA.
Jeanne was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was a genuinely compassionate person and was always there for her husband, children and anyone she could help. She always had a smile even throughout her pain. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, a member of De Amici's Women's Auxiliary, and was a graduate of the Patricia Stevens School of Modeling.
The family will receive friends today, Thursday, June 8th, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN, where a Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Robert Yast officiating.
Entombment will be held in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum, Mishawaka.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., or to the ALS Association in Indianapolis.
