Cora L. Betz, 103, of the Milton Home in South Bend, Ind., died on Tuesday, Nov. 7, in the Milton Home. Cora was born to George and Anna (Whallon) Wedmore in Franklin County, Ind., on Dec. 14, 1896. In South Bend, in 1937, she married Charles Betz, who died on April 10, 1974. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Lawrence on March 12, 1999. She is survived by her granddaughter, Mary Lou Pumroy; a grandson, Terry Lawrence; and by six great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren. Cora was a self-employed hairdresser for over 60 years here in South Bend. She was a 60-year member of the First Christian Church in South Bend, and many other charitable and civic organizations.

Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home until time of service. Services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the FOREST G. HAY FUNERAL HOME. Rev. Dr. William J. Wassner will officiate, and burial will follow later at the Highland Cemetery.
