Betz, 67, of South Bend, formerly of Walkerton, IN, passed away at 4:35 a.m. Sunday, January 10, 2010, in the Healthwin Specialized Care Center, South Bend. She was born April 4, 1942, in LaPorte, IN, to Walter T. and Lavaun (Gensinger) Jasinski. On May 26, 1973, in North Liberty, IN, she married Keith S. Betz, who survives. Mrs. Betz is also survived by her son, Kyle (Natalie) Betz of Lafayette, IN; granddaughter, Sophia Josephine Betz; and mother, Lavaun Hunt of LaPorte, IN. Mrs. Betz lived most of her life in Walkerton, IN. She worked as a bookkeeper for River Bend Hose for five years and for Feece Floral Shop in Walkerton, IN, for 10 years. Mrs. Betz was a longtime member of the North Liberty Church of the Brethren and was a member of the Walkerton Area Historical Society. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 14, in the North Liberty Church of the Brethren, 201 E. Market St., North Liberty. Rev. Carol Pfeiffer will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton, IN. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today, January 13th, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S.
