SOUTH BEND - Teresa K. Berzai, 91, of South Bend, passed away after an extended illness at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, April 15, in St. Paul's Nursing Center, South Bend. Mrs. Berzai was born on May 2, 1915, in South Bend, and had resided in the Michiana area her lifetime.

On November 26, 1936, in South Bend, as Teresa K. Foldesi, she married Frank Berzai Jr., who preceded her in death on May 9, 2002. Teresa is survived by her two loving children, a daughter, Sheila R. (Carl) Berta of South Bend, and a son, Donald F. Berzai of Bristol, Indiana. Also surviving are two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, whom she loved and cherished. Life is Gone Our love is forever, We now have memories For all to cherish, A Mother who was So wonderful. Teresa will be sadly missed by her loving family, her church family, and everyone who had the opportunity to know this wonderful lady during her life journey.

Their will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at a later date. Mrs. Berzai was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, South Bend. The family request that all memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10872 Queen Road, Plymouth, IN 46563. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and extend deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Berzai family.
