Wilma Bertolan

SOUTH BEND - Wilma Bertolan, 81, of Locust Road, died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday in Healthwin Hospital and Nursing Home. Mrs. Bertolan was a former employee of Ivan Brothers Shovel Factory, Old Fort, and St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born June 7, 1914, in Gai, Yugoslavia and had lived in South Bend since 1950.

On May 2, 1953, in South Bend, as Wilma Suher, she married Steven Bertolan. He survives with a son, Karl Suher of South Bend; two stepsons, Joseph and Frank, both of South Bend; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mary Bertolan, died June 17, 1967.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Zahoran Funeral Home, where the parish rosary will be said at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
