Clarence F. Berry, 79, of South
Russell Street, Mishawaka, Ind., died at noon on Friday, Feb. 18,
in his residence. He was born on Aug. 15, 1920, in Ipswick, S.D.,
and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a member of
the Indiana Sheriffs Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post
#360, Disabled American Veterans Post #6, American Legion Post
#161, United Auto Workers Local #9, and the Cathedral of St.
Matthew. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Berry is survived by his brother, Don
(Gayla) Simmons of Edwardsburg, Mich.; a sister, Verna D'Ambrosio
of Hollywood, Fla.; and by his companion, Betsy Barnes. He
was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Lee Simmons, Dorothy
Simmons and Isabelle La Croix.
Family and friends may call from 9 to 10:30
a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S.
Mayflower Road, South Bend. Services will be at 11 a.m. on
Tuesday in the Cathedral of St. Matthew, with burial to follow in
the St. Joseph Cemetery.
