June 14, 1924 - Aug. 24, 2010SOUTH BEND - Betty Lucille Bernhardt, 86, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 in Sanctuary of St. Paul. Betty was born on June 14, 1924 in Mishawaka to Clifton and Mable Bernhardt. On April 8, 1967 Betty married E. Larry Abbott who precedes her in death; along with a sister, Marilyn Bernhardt; and a brother, Carl Bernhardt. Betty is survived by a brother, Raymond (Shirley) Bernhardt of Spruce Pine, NC; as well as several nieces and nephews. Betty worked at Studebaker and retired from AM General Purchasing Department. She belonged to the Riley Lunch Bunch, Chippewa Senior Fun Club and other various card clubs. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2010 in ST.
