SOUTH BEND - Viola M. Berndt, 82, of Swygart Street, died Wednesday in Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include two daughters, Colette Woolley of Cassopolis and Janice Manges of Wichita, Kan.; a son, Phillip of South Bend; a sister, Isabel Kupka of South Bend; and a brother, Emery Horvath of South Bend.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive, where friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until services.

Editor: As Viola M. Kulchar she married Eugene W. Berndt 1-2-1933 in St. Joseph County IN. He died 8-28-1982 while living at 1710 Swygart Street in South Bend IN.
