Beatrice G. Berndt, 90, of Juniper Rd., South Bend, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday February 17th in her residence. She was born on October 15, 1911 to George & Erma (Palmer) Miller. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, a son Edward and his wife June and a daughter Dorothy Lowman.

Beatrice is survived by a daughter Judith L. (Thomas) Hartgrove of South Bend, a son Denis (Mary) Berndt of South Bend, a son-in-law Larry Lowman of South Bend and a sister Leola Moore of Mishawaka. Also surviving are ten grandchildren; Michael Berndt, Robert Berndt, Keith Berndt, John Berndt, David Berndt, Kenneth Berndt, Dawn Elston, Donna McClintock, Vivian Bays, Jeffery Hartgrove and twenty six great grandchildren.

She retired from Ziker Cleaners as a store manager in 1976.

Friends may visit with the family from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday February 23rd at Albright United Methodist Church Otterbein Center (Gym) where a memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Ingle officiating. A luncheon will be served following the service. Bubb Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, Indiana 46637.
