GRANGER - Janice F. (Bennett) Berger, 83, of Granger, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 19, 2008. She was born in Niles, Michigan, on April 29, 1925, to John and Fern (Wolf) Hill, who preceded her in death. Janice married Raymond Bennett, who preceded her in death. She is survived by their sons, Lee (Marsha) Bennett of South Bend, Raymond (Lisa) Bennett of Granger and John (Linda) Bennett of South Bend; seven grandchildren, Mark, Michele, Amanda, Alison, Joshua, Deanna and Rachel; and three great-grandchildren, Christian, Brandon and Stella; and two stepsons, Ralph L. Bennett and Thomas K. Bennett. She is also survived by three brothers, Clayton Hill of Muskegon, Michigan, Stuart Hill of Jimtown and Larry Hill of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Janice was preceded in death by her second husband, Lamar Berger, and by a stepson, Frederick Bennett. Janice was a beautician and a pastor. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her Christian faith was the foundation of everything in her life and she truly loved God throughout her life.

Friends may visit with the family today (Thursday) from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, with Rev. Roger Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Memorial contributions may be made to Journey Church of Granger.
