Marjorie Bent

Marjorie Bent, 87, of Forrest Ave. Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, June 7, in her residence after a brief illness.

Marjorie was born on April 15, 1916 in Elkhart, Ind., as the daughter of the late Silas and Bernice (Duff) Moore.

On Sept. 18, 1937 in Osceola, Ind., as the former Marjorie Moore she married L. Vernon

Bent who preceded her in death on May 16, 1978.

Marjorie is survived by three daughters Rosalie (Ron) West of Valparaiso, Ind., Sylvia (Hagop) Nazarian of Los Angles, Calif., and Gail (Jim) Long of Richmond, Va.; one son, David (Colette) Bent of Mishawaka; 9 grandchildren, Conrad (Lori) West, Rachel (Mark) Burden, Greg Nazarian, Ani (Steve) Tetrault, Melanie (Mark) Householder, Andrew (Cindy) Long, Daniel (Stefanie) Bent, Stephan Bent, James Bent.; three great grandchildren, Reid West, Kelsey West, Jessica Householder.

Mrs. Bent worked in the trust department of the former First National Bank Mishawaka. Mrs. Bent was an active member of the First United Methodist Church Mishawaka, serving the church as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Beiger Trust committee. Marjorie also was a driver and spent time volunteering for The Meals on Wheels Program. Marjorie brought joy to all the lives she touched, through music and laughter, she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 9, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, June 10 in First United Methodist Church Mishawaka Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
