ORBEN
E. BENNETT
Orben E. Bennett,
75, of 12463 Adams Rd, Granger, was dead on arrival at Memorial
Hospital at 12:15 p.m. Friday. He became ill in his home and was
taken to the hospital in a private ambulance. Mt. Bennett was
born in Lakeville, March 16, 1888. He married Nina Rogers in 1910
and she died January 15, 1950. He married Violet Howe in South
Bend September 23, 1950. Surviving are his widow; three sons,
Gehart R. Bennett of Mishawaka, Lyle E. Bennett of Edwardsburg
and Orben E. Bennett, Jr., of South Bend. Four daughters, Mrs.
Henry Fagan of Lakeville, Mrs. Clarence Eichorst and Mrs. William
Day, both of South Bend and Mrs. Richard Hyatt of Plymouth, four
stepsons, Eugene Howe, of South Bend, Loren Howe of Elkhart and
Lorence and Harold HOWE of Edwardsburg; a step-daughter Mrs. Ray
Vanett of South Bend, and a step-sister Mrs. Edward Dierick of
LaPorte. Friends may call in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka,
after 7 p.m. today and until the funerals services there at 2:30
p.m. Monday. Rev. Gene Witzky, pastor of Grace Brethren Church
will officiate. Burial will be in South-Lawn Cemetery.
