MISHAWAKA - Cecil Albert Bennett, Jr., 82, of Mishawaka, died at 9 a.m. Thursday Aug. 12, 2010, in Our Lady of Peace Hospital, Mishawaka of natural causes. He was born March 9, 1928 in Waukegan, IL, to the late Cecil Bennett Sr. and Jennie Wickersham. He was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Bennett; and a sister, Grace Ostrus. He was a retired foreman at Bendix Corp. and a lifetime area resident. On March 26, 1950 in Roseland, he married Gloria Johnson who survives. Also surviving are sons, Carl (Marylou) Bennett and Chris Bennett, both of Mishawaka, Randy (Roxanne) Bennett of South Bend and Paul Bennett of Niles. Services will be at 6 p.m. Monday August 16, in Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, with Pastor Sean Kidd of Buchanan Christian Church officiating. Friends may call one hour before services.
