Sister Maureen CSC, 80, died early today in Saint Mary’s Convent after a long illness. She was born Ellen Bendon in Limerick, Ireland in 1883. She entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1904, received the habit in 1905, and made her profession of vows in 1910. During her community life she spent several years in LaPorte and the remaining of her time in schools in the western province. Surviving are a sister in Ireland and two cousins.

The requiem high mass will be offered in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at St. Mary’s at 7 a.m. Saturday, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call at the convent parlor.
