Ruby I. Bellavich, 78, of Lynn Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 4:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, in Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle, Ind. Ruby was born on May 14, 1923, to Jefferson and Leona Lovell in Peoria, Ill. She lived most of her life in Mishawaka.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Martin on Jan. 24, 2002; her husband, John Bellavich in 1996; and by a previous husband, Marcel Van Den Abeele in 1969. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Thomas, Robert, Larry, Charles, Raymond and Kenneth Lovell; and by a sister, Dorothy Thompson.

She is survived by her sisters, Bonnie Weedman of Galesburg, Ill., and Esther Cunningham of Peoria; a brother, Harry Lovell of Peoria; a son-in-law, Michael Martin of Mishawaka; her granddaughters, Jennifer (Jeff) Day and Kathleen (Jason) Gill, both of Mishawaka; a great-grandson, Jason Gill Jr.; and by a stepson, John Bellavich of Georgia.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m.
