Alberta Bedore

Alberta Bedore, 90, of Fort Myers, Fla., passed away Saturday, June 21, in Fort Myers. She was a native of South Bend, Ind., retiring to Fort Myers six years ago. Alberta was born March 30, 1913, in Howard City, Mich., to the late Erv and Mary Schmidt Wetherbee and was the wife of Arthur J. Bedore, married 58 years, who together owned and operated their grocery store in South Bend.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert J. (Diane) Bedore of St. Clair, Mich., and Richard A. (Barbara) Bedore of Estero, Fla.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A granddaughter, Caren, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Editor: As Alberta Wetherlee she married Arthur J. Bedore 6-27-1931 in St. Joseph County IN. He died 8-8-1984 in South Bend IN.
