SOUTH BEND - Ralph R. Beaty Sr., 90, of Randolph Street, died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka. Mr. Beaty retired from Northern Indiana Public Service Co. after more than 46 years of service. He was born Dec. 31, 1903, in Washington, Iowa, and lived in South Bend for more than 65 years, coming from Iowa.

On Oct. 9, 1925, in Washington, Iowa, he married Martha Nicholson. She survives with a daughter, Kathleen Darr of Mishawaka; a son, Ralph Richard Jr. of South Bend; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ridgedale Presbyterian Church.
