Sister Mary Colette CSC CSC, of Saint
Mary’s Convent, died at 8:15 a.m. today after a short
illness. She was born Frances Bazia in Otis, Ind. in 1873.
She entered the Sisters of Holy Cross in 1900 and took her
professional vows in 1906. With the exception of a few years in
Boise, Idaho, she had spent her life in St. Joseph Hospital in
South Bend. She retired to the motherhouse last summer.
A requiem mass will be said at 6 a.m.
Thursday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at St. Mary’s
with burial in the Community Cemetery at St. Mary’s College.
Friends may call in the convent parlor until 8 p.m. today and
Wednesday.
