Melba L. Bayman, 80, of Kern Road, Mishawaka, died at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003, in her home. She worked for the Bendix Corporation for 17 years. Melba was born Feb 17, 1922, in Wakarusa, Ind., to the late Clem and Clara (Searer) Beehler and has lived in the area all her life.

On Sept. 16, 1972, in Burr Oaks, Mich., she married Frederick "Pete" Bayman who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Charles Bayman of Mishawaka and Joey Bayman of South Bend.

Gravesite services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at the Olive Cemetery, Wakarusa, Ind. Brother Steve Nani, CSC will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
