Robert A. Baum

Robert A. Baum, 67, of Kings Court, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, in his residence. Robert was born in South Bend, Ind., on March 30, 1935, and was a lifelong area resident. Robert retired in 1999 after 35 years of service with Canteen Services. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a loving husband and father, and was an avid Notre Dame and NASCAR fan. He loved gardening, and his two dogs, Buddy and Greta.

On June 7, 1956, in South Bend, Robert married Janice D. Green, who survives. He is also survived by one son, Robert A. Baum of Mishawaka; one daughter, Barbara J. Baum of West Palm Beach, Fla.; one sister, Judy Moore of Jacksonville, Fla.; and by two brothers, Charles Baum of Mishawaka and Donald Baum of Elkhart, Ind.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to Pet Refuge of Mishawaka.
