Daniel D. Baumgartner, 66, of Riverside Drive, South Bend, Ind., passed away on Friday, March 10, in Healthwin Specialized Care Facility. Mr. Baumgartner was born on May 22, 1933, in St. Joseph County, Ind., to the late Edward J. Rosplock and Genevieve Siatkowski.

On Nov. 17, 1956, he married the former Theresa A. Morozowski, who preceded him in death on Aug. 12, 1996. He retired from the Bendix Corporation after 38 years of service. Mr. Baumgartner was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council #553. He is survived by a daughter, Deborah A. Baumgartner of South Bend; four sisters, Mary Mae Baumgartner, Shirley Wells, Joan (Stephen) Rokop and Sandra Williams, all of South Bend; and a brother, James (Connie) Rosplock of South Bend.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, in the KANIEWSKI Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where friends may call two hours prior to services in the funeral home. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 112 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
