Thelma Baughman

March 12, 1910 - April 9, 2001

Thelma Baughman, 91, formerly of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Monday, April 9, in Arlington, Texas.

Thelma was born on March 12, 1910, in Mount Carmel, Ill.

On Nov. 21, 1945, as Thelma Toombs, she married Kenneth Lee Baughman, who preceded her in death on June 3, 1962.

She is survived by a son, David (Linda) Baughman of Arlington, Texas; two grandchildren, Melina Lehen and Seth Baughman of Arlington; and by two great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Christian Lehen of Arlington.

Thelma retired as a teacher from the former Bingham School in Mishawaka after 40 years of service. During her teaching days, she was listed in Who's Who of Elementary Educators. Upon her retirement she moved to Arlington, and became active in the Arlington Schools Grand Friends program. She had also been a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.

Friends may visit with Thelma's family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 13, in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, in the funeral home, with Rev. Kenneth H. Mendenhall officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
