Warren A. Bauer, 81, of South
Coquillard Drive, South Bend, died Thursday, April 4, 2002 in St.
Anthony Hospital, Michigan City, Indiana of an apparent heart
attack. Warren was born on August 21, 1920, in Hamilton, Ohio to
Otto and Georgia (Hord) Bauer.
On November 30, 1950, Warren married Irene
Justine Bremer and she preceded him in death in 1968. He
had lived in South Bend for the past 39 years coming from
Hamilton, Ohio. He is survived by one son, and daughter-in-law,
David and Elizabeth Bauer of Loveland, Ohio and by two
grandchildren, Matthew Bauer and Mary-Katherine Bauer.
Warren was an engineer and had worked at
Bendix and J&B Products. During World War II, he served in
the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church
of South Bend where he sang in the choir, the Elks, and the
Republican Party.
The family will greet friends from 12:30
p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9th in the Welsheimer Funeral
Home, 521 N. William Street, where at 2:00 p.m. a Memorial
Service will be held. The Rev. Dan Berger of the 1st United
Methodist Church officiating. Cremation will take place with a
private burial at a later date in the Rose Hill Burial Park,
Hamilton, Ohio. The family asks that memorial donations be made
to the 1st United Methodist Church Music Program or to the
charity of the donor's choice.
