Carl J. Bauer, 72, of Chesterton, a former South Bend Resident, Saturday was found dead in his home of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Bauer was born March 12,1897 in South Bend. Survivors include his widow Mary of Walkerton; a daughter, Mrs. William Blye of South Bend; a granddaughter; two brother, Otto of Mishawaka and Herbert of Chesteron; and a sister, Mrs. Frank Lauer of South Bend. Friend may call at the Edmonds Funeral Home, Chesterton, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Bauer was a member of the Elks Club and the VFW. He was the former owner of the State Park Drug Store in Chesterton.
