NEW CARLISLE - Services for Dora G. Battershell, 84, of Hamilton Grove Retirement Community, who died at 11:55 p.m. Thursday in the nursing home, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in LaPorte Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hamilton Grove.

Mrs. Battershell taught for the Ottawa School Corp. in Ohio and worked for Wolf & Dessauer in Fort Wayne. She was born July 6, 1910, in Fremont, Ohio, and had lived here eight years.

On May 27, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio, she married James R. Battershell. He died April 10, 1989. Surviving are two daughters, Shirley J. Cantwell of Melbourne, Fla., and Sharon Dzwonar of LaPorte; and four grandchildren.
