SOUTH BEND - Anna M. Batcho, 94, passed away at 11:41 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2008, in Southfield Village. Anna was born on July 8, 1913, in South Bend, to Joseph and Helen (Cseresznyak) Nagy. She was a member of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church, the Calvert Rod & Gun Club Ladies Auxiliary, and was a past member of American Legion #363, Lakeville.

On May 1, 1943, as Anna Nagy, she married Andrew Batcho, who died on May 23, 1986. Anna was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Wiltfong; and four brothers, Joseph Nagy Jr., Alex Nagy, Johnny Nagy and Steve Nagy. Surviving are a son, Andrew (Georgia) Batcho of Normandy Park, WA; and a sister Mary Nolke of South Bend.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 19, in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care and to Southfield Village.
