Mrs. Frank Bass

May 28, 1914 – April 11, 1970

Mrs. Margaret Louise Bass, 55, of 623 S. 8^th St., Elkhart, a former South Bend resident, died at 6:10pm Saturday in Elkhart General Hospital, where she was admitted at noon that day after suffering an apparent stroke.

Born May 28, 1914, in Polk TN, she lived in South Bend several years before moving to Elkhart in 1966.  On June 4, 1928, in Reeves TN, she was married to Frank Bass, who died in February 1969.

She is survived by two sons, Lester Bass and Wilford Bass, both of South  Bend; three grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Alta Brock and Mrs. Pauline Baker, both of St Louis MO an Mrs. Emily Pearl McCuller, of San Francisco.  Alford’s Mortuary is handling arrangements.

FUNERAL NOTES

Services for Mrs. Margaret Bass, 55, of 1111 E. Miner St., who died Saturday, will be held at 1pm Friday in Alford’s Mortuary.  Rev. Henry Giden, pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday in the funeral home.
