Billy Lee ''Bill'' Barsoda, 58 years
old, residing in Osceola, IN, passed away at 12:15 p.m. on
Monday, August 23, 1999, in the Hospice House in South Bend after
an extended illness. Mr. Barsoda was employed in the
shipping/receiving department for Dodge Manufacturing in
Mishawaka.
Bill was born on November 23, 1940, in
Wabash, IN, and had lived most of his life in South Bend, moving
to Osceola two years ago.
On May 30, 1981, in South Bend, he married
Laverna M. Lueneburg, who survives. Also surviving are his
father and step-mother, Robert A. and Helen Barsoda of Osceola;
two stepsons, David Lueneburg of California and Richard Lueneburg
of Mishawaka; one sister, Melissa Villagrana of Mishawaka;
one brother, Greg Barsoda of Syracuse, IN; one stepsister, Shirl
Spinks of Elba, AL; and one stepbrother, Roy Bradberry of
Osceola. Bill's mother, Mary (Ross) Barsoda; one brother, Donald
Barsoda; and three stepbrothers, Rex, Bill, and James Bradberry,
all preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m.
on Thursday, August 26, 1999, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 1109
Lincolnway West, Osceola. Rev. Kevin Zuber, pastor of Mishawaka
Grace Brethren Church, will officiate. Burial and graveside
services will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery,
Osceola. Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8
p.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home, Osceola. Contributions in
memory of Billy Lee Barsoda may be donated to the Hospice of St.
Joseph County, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
Bill was a United States Army veteran of the
Vietnam War and a member of the Maenerchor Club of South Bend.
