Audrey R. Barnhart, 91, who lived
most recently in Marion and formerly of Nevada, OH, went to be
with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 3, at 1:25 p.m. in
Marion Manor. She was born June 3, 1915, in Walkerton, St. Joseph
County, Indiana, to the late James Robert and Nellie (Nelson)
Stickley.
She was married July 28, 1934, to Howard K.
Barnhart, who preceded her in death on August 19, 1972. Mrs.
Barnhart is survived by daughter, Judy (Alan) Pfahler of
North Robinson; a grandson who she raised as her own son, Kenny Forman,
and his fiancée, Penny Robert, along with his two
daughters, Kelly and Shelbie, all of Marion; granddaughter,
Chastity Kay Powers, and her daughters, Kaylee and Megan
of Galion; brothers, Clyde (Eva) Stickley of Walkerton,
IN, James (Kay) Seiders of North Liberty, IN; sisters,
Marie (Max) Hardesty of Hamlet, IN, Joann Mapes of
Bristol, IN; sister-in-law, Bernice Hoover of Mishawaka,
IN; along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her
husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jack Foreman,
one brother and six sisters.
Mrs. Barnhart graduated from Walkerton H.S.
in 1934, moved from Indiana to the Chatfield community in 1934,
and moved to Nevada in 1972. A homemaker, Audrey was a loving
mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of
Nevada Lutheran Church and attended the Richland Road Church of
Christ in Marion. In her younger days, Audrey enjoyed visiting
and entertaining residents at Fairhaven nursing home in Upper
Sandusky as well as working on various church committees. She was
a member of the senior citizen card club in Nevada where she
enjoyed spending time with her many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday
at 2:00 p.m. in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, 215 N. Walnut
St., Bucyrus, with Minister Matt Dahm officiating; burial will be
in Lust Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home on
Wednesday where the family will receive friends from noon until
the time of services. Memorials may be made to the American Heart
Association through the funeral home.
