The sad intelligence of the death of Mrs. George Barnes,
of Walkerton, Ind., reached this city Sunday, her death occurring
at 11 a.m.
Mrs. Barnes' maiden name was Eberhart and as she formerly
lived in this city was well known here. Her death was caused by
heart trouble and complications with which the deceased had
suffered a long time. Her age was 77 years.
She had survived two husbands. Besides the husband living she leaves the following sons and daughters: James Cook, Walkerton, Ind.; Arthur Cook, Detroit, Mich.; George Cook, an evangelist, some place in Kansas; Mrs. Harriett Parren, Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. William Jackson, of this county.
The deceased also leaves six brothers and one sister, J. H., R. C., C. R., F. G., F. R. and J. C. Eberhart, of this city, and Mrs. George Bryson, of Elkhart. The funeral will be held from the Walkerton M. E. church at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
Interment at North Liberty.
Editor: Burial was in Porter-Rea Cemetery, in Liberty Township.
Her first husband was Elias Benson Cook, and her second husband
was John Rudduck.
