Georgie Barnes

Georgie Barnes, 91, of East Jefferson Boulevard, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, May 4, in her residence. Georgie was born on March 12, 1908, in New Carlisle, Ind., as the daughter of the late Arthur and Agnes (Deinema) France.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Barnes on July 3, 1978; and by one brother. Georgie is survived by a son, Donald E. (Gerry) Barnes of Carmel, Ind.; two grandchildren, Mark Barnes of Knoxville, Tenn. and Dana Barclay of Evart, Mich.; and by a great-granddaughter, Axie Barclay of Evart. Georgie was a member of Coalbush United Methodist Church, Mishawaka. Georgie was employed by St. Joseph Bank and Trust Department, and she retired from Edgerton Travel.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Jim Davidsion officiating. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Osceola, Ind. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday in Hahn Funeral Home.
